«Irbis Limited Edition» — Saving Snow Leopards Through Packaging Design!

The Irbis, or snow leopard, is a symbol of the mountains of Central Asia. Aptly named “snow,” it’s the only feline species that lives in snowy mountains year-round. With only about 4,000 to 7,500 of these magnificent cats left in the world, their population could decrease by another 10 percent by 2040. To help preserve this endangered mountain symbol, Carlsberg Kazakhstan decided to create a limited edition can for their brand “Irbis.” Branding Agency «Like Brands» was tasked with conveying this important message through the limited edition can design.

The design prominently features an image of the unique snow leopard. The white can contrasts intriguingly with the dark beer inside, making it easily recognizable on store shelves. Moreover, the information on the can, which contains crucial details calling for the preservation of this local mountain symbol, is highlighted with red labels for better readability and effective communication.

Additionally, Branding Agency «Like Brands» incorporated subtle design elements that resonate with the natural habitat of the snow leopard. The use of mountain silhouettes and snowy textures creates a visual connection to the leopard’s environment, further emphasizing the conservation message. The can design not only appeals to consumers aesthetically but also educates them on the importance of preserving this endangered species.

Furthermore, our approach included a strategic placement of QR codes on the can. Scanning these codes directs consumers to a dedicated website with more information about the snow leopard and ways to contribute to its preservation. This interactive element enhances consumer engagement and fosters a sense of involvement in the conservation efforts.

The limited edition «Irbis» can not only stands out on the shelf but also serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting our planet’s endangered species. Through thoughtful design and strategic elements, we have created packaging that inspires consumers to take action and support the preservation of the snow leopard.
